A few weeks ago Mark Graham, commonsku’s President and Chief Branding Officer and Bobby Lehew, commonsku’s Chief Content Officer, started a 3-part series on the future of the industry, visiting with some of the most respected leaders of the largest organizations, as we reflect on the changes that have accelerated our success over the past decade and most importantly, what opportunities and challenges lay before us in the decade ahead.

Our first episode featured perspectives from the industry’s two largest trade organizations and we were honored to have Tim Andrews with ASI and Paul Bellantone with PPAI join us.

Our second episode featured the supplier’s viewpoint with David Nicholson, the President of Top 40 supplier PCNA, parent company of Leed’s, Bullet, Trimark, and JournalBooks, and Jonathan Isaacson, President and CEO of  Top 40 supplier The Gem Group, parent company of Gemline.

Today, we sit down with Jamie Mair, founder of Swervepoint, and we talk about the decade ahead from the distributor’s perspective.

After working at CYRK and OstermanAPI, two of the industry’s largest distributors, Jamie set-out on an adventure in 2004 to launch SwervePoint, a boutique merchandise agency headquartered in Boston. As an entrepreneur, Jamie has managed the start-up phase through the scale-up and exit phases with a focus on brand building, customer experience, and corporate culture. In August 2017, BDA acquired SwervePoint and Jamie became the top marketing executive at the $427 million dollar company. Over his career, Jamie has worked on global e-commerce programs, sports sponsorship activations, and promotions that drive brand awareness and engagement for companies such as BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, and MasterCard.

Today, Jamie is a strategic advisor to growth-oriented firms in the industry.

In this episode, Jamie, Mark, and Bobby discuss multiple topics including potential disruptions to the supply chain, sustainability, diversity, pricing challenges, the customer of the future, and much more.

Join us for an always-engaging and illuminating chat with our friend, Jamie Mair!
