Episode 283: Industry Trends Driving Innovation Now with Bill Petrie and Kirby Hasseman

We have a special cross-over episode for you today! You likely know our two guests, Bill Petrie and Kirby Hasseman.

With over 23 years working in executive leadership positions in the promo, Bill Petrie is the founder and creative director at Brandivate, he helps both suppliers and distributors grow their businesses by effectively communicating their brands. He’s a frequent speaker, former PromoKitchen chef, and the host of the Promo UPFront podcast along with his friend and co-host Kirby Hasseman.

Kirby is the CEO of Hasseman Marketing & Communications, a full-service marketing company and promo distributor. He’s also served on the board of PromoKitchen, and in addition to PromoUp Front, Kirby hosts a weekly Web show called Delivering Marketing Joy, where he interviews business leaders from around the country and publishes Monday Minute, a weekly short video series on personal development.

Kirby has published five books; Delivering Marketing Joy, Fan of Happy, Think Big Marketing for Small Business, The Give First Economy, and his most recent hit, The TARGET.

Today, Kirby and Bill join us on our show and next week Mark Graham and I will be joining Bill and Kirby on their show in a fun little crossover project, but for this episode, we wanted to get inside the head of these two leading industry thinkers to talk about the most innovative trends they are changing this industry for the better. Along the way we discuss:

  • the impact of technology and e-commerce

  • the distributor/supplier demographic changes

  • the impact content is having on their marketing and where they are seeing the greatest returns

  • and more!
